Jason Pistacchio’s practice includes a wide range of complex civil disputes, including litigation, with an emphasis on business, construction, and commercial real estate matters. Jason regularly helps individuals and companies in preparing and enforcing commercial contracts such as vendor/supplier agreements or professional services contracts. He often represents construction contractors in preparing and enforcing contracts, including the filing and foreclosure of construction liens. He also assists commercial property owners and tenants with lease renegotiations, disputes and, where necessary, evictions.
Jason is also a frequent speaker and author on electronic discovery and document retention issues.
Prior to his joining Cosgrave Vergeer Kester, Jason clerked for the Honorable Darryl L. Larson, Lane County Circuit Court, and completed internships at the District Attorney’s offices in Lane and Douglas Counties, during which time he conducted jury trials on misdemeanor and felony matters.
Education & Bar Admissions
Jason received his law degree from the University of Oregon Law School in 2000. Jason graduated, cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Washington State University in 1996. He was also a recipient of the President’s Leadership Award and the Judges Thomas and Marshall Neill Memorial Scholarship.
Jason was admitted to the Oregon State Bar and United States District Court of Oregon in 2000.
Jason’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Multnomah Bar Association, and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel.
Jason is also a current member of the Oregon State Bar’s Practice and Procedures Committee.
Community Activities and Interests
He is an outdoorsman and is particularly fond of golf and Oregon’s mountains and beaches. Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and children, all of whom join Jason as avid fans of the Washington State University Cougars.
